2023 Waterfalls Workshop

*This workshop is now full. Please email me if you would like to be placed on a wait list.

Spring is a great time of the year in Alabama for waterfall photography. Bankhead National Forest is sometimes called, "The Land of a Thousand Waterfalls." This description is very true. Join us as we visit two locations in Bankhead National Forest.  We will go to one location in the morning and then another in the afternoon with Lightroom/Photoshop session during the middle of the day.   The waterfalls shown below are the ones we will visit.

When:   April 8, 2023

Where: Bankhead National Forest, Alabama

Cost: $135

Positions available:  0 positions left

Equipment that you will need for this workshop:

*Old shoes that you can get wet.

      *Head lamp

     *dSLR

     *Tripod

*Shutter cable (suggested but not required)

*Wide angle lens (suggested but not required)

*Mid-range lens  (18-55 mm will be fine)

*Lens cloth (to dry off your lens from spray)

     *Bag to carry your equipment

     *Cleared memory card

     *Extra batteries

*Polarizer (strongly recommended)- you can buy them from B & H Photo for about $40.  Tiffen is a decent brand that sells them at this price. There are cheaper ones but                       they usually will give a color cast to the image that you cannot get rid of in post-processing. Buy one that will fit your widest lens (for example, my widest is 77mm so I bought a         77mm polarizer and then bought a $5 step up ring so that I can put it on my 67mm sized telephoto lens). This way you only have to buy one polarizer to fit all of your lenses.
